Preparing for work as AI reshapes it.

The first rung of the career ladder is changing fastest. Career strategy helps young people understand where opportunity is moving, test a few well-chosen directions, and build the experience and story that will get them there.

We treat a career as a set of hypotheses to test, not a single answer to find. That means exploring sectors and roles (including ones that barely existed a few years ago), gathering real evidence through projects and work experience, and learning to present it well.

What we focus on.

01

How AI is reshaping work

What is changing across industries, and what does it mean for the first rung of the career ladder?

02

Exploring the options

Which sectors, roles and routes are open to me, including ones that didn't exist five years ago?

03

Building real experience

Which projects, work experience and internships will prove what I can do?

04

Telling my story

How do I make my strengths clear in CVs, applications and interviews?

Example lesson plan: Positioning Yourself for a Career in an AI World.

Normally follows earlier session(s) exploring your strengths, skills, experiences and interests, and how AI is changing the field you are considering.

01

What skills will you actually need?

We identify the skills that are likely to matter for you, considered in the context of the career you are exploring where relevant.

This may include

  • Whether coding is useful for your route
  • Which AI tools or technical skills are worth learning
  • Which human capabilities, such as judgment, communication, creativity or leadership, become more important as AI develops
02

Which projects and extracurriculars will strengthen your profile?

We examine the kinds of activities that could give you relevant experience and evidence of capability, looking at which are genuinely useful for your intended route, what they demonstrate, and how much value they are likely to add.

This may include

  • Independent projects
  • Building something using AI
  • Solving a real problem connected to an area that interests you
03

What work experience is actually valuable?

We consider the kinds of work experience that would be most useful for the career you are considering.

We look at

  • Which organisations or environments would give you meaningful exposure
  • Whether you will see AI being used in practice
  • How to distinguish valuable experience from work experience that is largely observational
04

Build your next-step plan

We bring the session together into a practical plan.

We identify

  • Which skills you should develop next
  • What gaps currently exist in your profile
  • What you should prioritise over the next few months
05

What you will take away

You leave with:

  • A clearer skills plan: the technical, AI and human skills your route needs
  • A profile-building plan: which projects are worth doing to show what you can do
  • A work experience strategy: what’s genuinely valuable, and what to target

Every plan starts with a conversation.

Book an initial consultation to talk through your child, their interests and where they'd like to go.
