Getting genuinely good at AI, not just using it.

Most young people already use AI. Far fewer understand how to get real value from it, where it goes wrong, or how it works. Learn builds that understanding hands-on, focusing on the AI that actually matters for them.

Sessions mix clear explanation with practice on real projects (e.g. a portfolio, something to build). The aim is developing both judgment and skill: knowing how to use AI effectively, when to question it, and where their own thinking adds the most value.

What we focus on.

01

Using AI well

How should I use AI intelligently and effectively, combining the right tools, techniques and judgement?

02

Strengths and limits

What does AI do well, where does it fall short, and what should remain distinctively human?

03

How AI works

What is AI, how does it actually work, and which concepts should I genuinely know?

04

What comes next

Where is AI heading, and what is likely to change as a result?

Example lesson: Design with AI.

01

Where does design appear in your life?

Explore where you already use design: in presentations, posters, websites, reports, portfolios and other ways of communicating ideas.

We look at

  • Why good design matters
  • What makes design clear and effective
  • How design can strengthen the way you communicate
02

Choosing the right AI tools

Discover the different types of AI design tools available and learn:

  • What each tool does
  • Which tool suits which task
  • Where different tools fit within the design process
03

Understanding how AI works

Look beneath the surface of generative AI so you can use it more intelligently.

We explore

  • Why similar prompts can produce different results
  • Why AI struggles with consistency and precise constraints
  • Why something that looks impressive is not always good design
04

Thinking critically about AI

Learn to judge AI rather than simply accept what it produces.

We ask

  • What is AI good at?
  • Where does it fall short?
  • Where is your judgment still essential?
  • What value do you bring that AI cannot?
05

Put it into practice

Use AI design tools on a real project from your own world, perhaps a presentation, poster, website, school project or portfolio.

You will explain

  • Which tools you chose and why
  • What you did and what the AI did
  • Where you added value
  • What limitations you encountered
  • How you overcame them
06

What you will take away

You leave with:

  • How AI design works: why outputs vary, and why polished isn’t always good
  • Using the tools well: from first ideas to finished layouts
  • Sharper judgment: what works, what doesn’t, and where you add value

Every plan starts with a conversation.
